In support of National Children’s Dental Health Month, Westend Dental visited local Lincoln Park schools to teach students the importance of healthy dental habits for building strong teeth.
“To ensure dental health in adulthood it’s imperative that children, with their parent’s help, develop healthy habits while young. This not only includes your standard brushing and flossing routine but also visiting the dentist regularly and knowing which foods are healthy for your teeth and which foods you should eat sparingly,” said Dr. Michael Euteneuer of Westend Dental.
Westend Dental staff visited multiple Lincoln Park schools teaching over 150 students, ages 2 to 5, which foods are best to eat for healthy teeth, how to brush and floss and why we need to visit the dentist.
“As a dental professional, participating in National Children’s Dental Health Month is a great way to get kids, as well as their families, excited about their dental health. Healthy teeth and gums for a lifetime start by developing healthy hygiene habits at an early age,” said Ginny Hanover, Registered Dental Hygienist at Westend Dental.
